Statements that show their work
Invoices, bills, expenses, purchase orders, quotes, and credit notes live as one set of documents. Your balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and aging are read straight from them, and every figure lists the documents it came from, so you can open them and check.
What it does
Inside Accounting.
The tools available in this part of Akiroo.
- 01
Invoices, bills, expenses, purchase orders, quotes, and credit notes, all in one place.
- 02
Payments, refunds, and credits recorded against a document, with the balance still outstanding on it.
- 03
Payments capped at what the document actually owes, so paying the same bill twice is stopped as you enter it.
- 04
Expense approvals on a clear path: submitted, approved or rejected, then reimbursed.
- 05
An expense far above what that category normally costs is flagged for review, with the usual amount shown beside it.
- 06
Draft bills built from a receipt or invoice you upload, with the supplier, number, currency, and every line read off the image or PDF.
- 07
Balance sheet, income statement on a cash or accrual basis, cash flow, and aging of what you are owed and what you owe at 30, 60, and 90 days.
- 08
Revenue recognition: split a contract price across the separate promises inside it, schedule what is recognized when, and read what is still deferred.
- 09
Each currency reported on its own, exactly as the documents were written.
- 10
A dated history on every document: who moved it, when, and from which status.
Questions
A few useful
details.
Where do the numbers on a statement come from?+
From the documents in your workspace: invoices, bills, expenses, payments, refunds, and credit notes. Each figure lists the ones it was computed from, so an amount you do not recognize is one click from its source, and the statement is worked out fresh every time you run it.
Can it read a receipt?+
Yes. Upload the photo or the PDF and Akiroo reads the supplier, date, number, and line items off it. Check what it found, confirm, and it becomes a draft bill waiting in Accounting.
Does this replace my accountant?+
No. Akiroo does the arithmetic and the record keeping — the totals, the schedules, the aging, and the source documents behind every figure — and hands your accountant a set of books they can check line by line.
